Amy Sussman/Getty Haley Kalil addressed rumors that she died with two comedic posts on Instagram The influencer, who has over 15 million followers on social media, created a fake obituary in reaction to the fake news Kalil's posts racked up sarcastic, sympathetic comments from her followers Haley Kalil is alive and posting. The 32-year-old social media influencer, who's known asHaleyy Bayleeonline, comedically broke her silence on the rumor that she died with two different reaction videos uploaded to Instagram on Sunday, May 25. Thefirst postbegan with a voiceover that said, "Haley Baylee was found dead. The internet is in total [shambles]." Matt Winkelmeyer/Getty The narration was paired with a Google Earth clip of a neighborhood in what appears to be the original fake news source that announced her death. The clip then abruptly cuts to a shot of Kalil, who was visibly confused by the announcement. "I mean, R.I.P. I guess?" she then said in the video, and captioned the post, "wait wha-." In asecond video, Kalil — who has 7.7 million followers on Instagram and 14 million onTikTok— posted a fake obituary. It read, "Forever in our hearts," over her name and a video compilation of the content creator taken from different clips. The date stated, "Aug. 6, 1992 to May 25, 2025 I guess," and she listed the cause of death as "maybe foul play idk yet." She added, "A funeral service will be held this week whenever I have time because I think I'm still alive so bring gifts." Kalil captioned the post, "This was news to me," while "One Sweet Day" by Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men played in the back. "It's like she's still here," wrote another. "Haley really got the best meme to milk to 'death' 😭😭🥀," penned a third. Kalil built a massive following on social media for comedic content and fan-girl interactions with celebrities on red carpets at award shows and events. She gained 13 million collective followers in less than a year and recently surpassed 15 million total, per herCAA bio.
