The actress, who plays Dr. Heather Collins on the hit HBO Max medical drama, tells PEOPLE in an exclusive interview that she put her all in the new series — including her wedding ring. And, once she noticed the missing jewelry, she turned to a costar for support. "It's so wonderful to see so many people supporting the work of these amazing characters who do these amazing things, and us as artists, to see our work acknowledged in this way," Ifeachor says of the show's success. The series follows a group of healthcare workers during a 15-hour shift at an emergency room in Pittsburgh and was named the streamer's most-watched title globally shortly after its premiere in January. Warrick Page/MAX The actress says that everybody put their "heart, soul, blood, sweat and tears" into the production, adding, "and a wedding ring, in my case, because I lost mine on set." "I didn't know what happened," she shares. "It was in my room and then it just disappeared." Upset over losing the sentimental ring, the actress sought comfort from her costarNoah Wyle, who plays senior attending physician Dr. Michael "Robby" Robinavitch. The character is also a love interest of Ifeachor's Dr. Collins, as it is revealed that they had a former fling. TheERalum, in addition to starring in the show, also serves as an executive producer and writer. "I remember going up to Noah [Wyle]," Ifeachor recalls. "I put my head on his shoulder, and I said, 'Am I still married?' " With a laugh, the British actress mimics Wyle's deadpan response to her question, a simple, "Yeah." John Johnson/HBO Unfortunately, Ifeachor's wedding ring never resurfaced as they wrapped filming on the busy set. "Everyone was looking for it," she says. "We looked around my room. We checked the set." But given the show's season 2 renewal, the actress adds that she is "still hopeful" that she will be reunited with her special jewelry. We're still married.' He was very supportive, much more supportive than I would have been." "But yeah, I can say, there's blood, sweat and tears, and a wedding ring that went into season 1," Ifeachor jokes.
