Mobility-wise, however, she floundered a bit in the set — which wasEllie Misnercouture — particularly while walking up to accept the AMA for Favorite Female R&B Artist. While taking the stage to accept the fan-voted award — she beat out Kehlani, Muni Long, Summer Walker and Tyla in the category — SZA appeared to realize in real time that thanks to her ultra-tight mermaid skirt, she could not trek the stairs at Fontainebleau Las Vegas by herself. Instead, two people helped her up to the stage, flanking her on either side. The "Broken Clocks" singer grabbed onto the helpers' arms and, after slowly walking up two stairs, tried a different approach: jumping. Thankfully, however, she teamed a pair of sparkly pasties with her black, lace-up top, so nothing but more rhinestones were revealed. She then took a moment to laugh off the almost-mishap, and dropped one of the helpers' hands to readjust her top before climbing the rest of the stairs. And once she reached the stage, she appeared almost entirely unfazed, proceeding to thank her parents and fans, ask her mom if she has lipstick in her teeth and shout-out one of the award presenters, streamerKai Cenat. The "Kill Bill" songstress also laughed at the moment on social media after the awards show, where she also snagged the AMA for Favorite R&B Song for her track "Saturn." "Fun fact I got these rhinestone pasties from a lovely exotic dancer at a random strip club in Houston," the star wrote alongside a photo of her awards show ensemble. She also added a shoutout to the dancer, who she said was "kind enough to give me 3 fresh packs."
