The official show description explains that Bacon plays "Hub Halloran, a murdered bounty hunter, is back from the dead after being resurrected by the Devil to trap and send back demons that have escaped from the prison of Hell; by chasing them down, Hub learns how his own sins got his soul condemned." All eight of the first season episodes dropped on Prime Video on April 3 after premiering at SXSW a month earlier. Initially, there were high hopes for this series after it started with aRotten Tomatoesscore of 100 percent (which later dropped to 83 percent). Even on Prime Video,The Bondsmanstarted strong with the series landing in the Nielsen Top 10 streaming rankings at number 9 in its first week. Despite dropping off in the second week, Bacon's latest series is still listed as No. 5 in television shows on Prime Video. The disappointing news didn't seem to bother Bacon much. There's plenty more on the horizon for Bacon, who stars alongside his wife,Kyra Sedgwick, in the movie,The Best You Can, which is set for a June 7 release. He also plays Peter in the five-part mini-seriesSirens, comingout on May 22. on Netflix.
